Some Tips For Regular Travelers

Being someone who needs to regularly travel to other parts of the world for business purposes, I have been met with many embarrassing and even insulting situations. There have been times when I wish I could just go back home! And there have been other times I have cursed myself for all the unnecessary things I have bought along with me!

So, here are some important things that you should know as regular travelers.

Travel Light

The most crucial thing is to travel light. You should never burden yourself with the unnecessary baggage. Make a list of the most important things that you need to have with. This list will be different for each and every one of us. Some such things that are on my list are: toothbrush and comb, two pairs of jeans and four t-shirts (enough for a week), two shirts, my shorts and pajamas, blow up sleeping bag, medicine bag and some canned food. I also carry a pair of rubber slippers. Anything that I need additionally I purchase then and there. Because if I were to carry too much of luggage with me, it not only hinders my business activities but is a huge difficulty for me to travel around the country. Which I do in abundance!

Make Friends Everywhere

One of the best piece of advice that I received from a travel oldie buddy, was to make as many friends as you can when traveling. You never know how helpful this may be in the future. Make friends in the airport and you will be able to check in and out with very little hassle. And if you were regularly traveling to same country you will have the great opportunity of a friend who will be able to help you in need. And make sure to do the Tsim Sha Tsui hotel accommodation booking online at the same place every time if you are satisfied with their rates and their service. They might even give you discounts or other additional benefits.

Take Canned Food with You

In most countries, the food doesn’t settle well with the outsiders. For me it is a nightmare eating food that isn’t somewhat similar to what I have in my own country. I always make it a habit to take some canned food with that will be better meals than the food in the restaurants. I take a small stock with me when I know I am going to an area that doesn’t have a supermarket with canned food that I consume. And there times when I have been so badly food poisoned, by eating street food as I found the restaurants in that particular area to be too expensive. I was so bad that I had to be hospitalized for more than a week! Before my better hotel booking is completed I first check if they have an affordable restaurant and just check on their menu too.

Be Vigilant

Finally, as a regular traveler, you may be able to attest to the number of times that people from the foreign land try to fool you. So you need to always be on your guard!
